Symbolism and political solutions

\We are all familiar with the writings of Dominique Aubier, who had the genius to bring together two modes of functioning, that of the brain and that of the \human relations. D Aubier has thus completed Herrmann’s model, a descriptive and static model of personalities, like many personality models that tend to “lock individuals into categories. D Aubier’s approach is evolutionary, because beyond individual personalities, she has turned her attention to the tacit codes that govern relationships between people, based on the observation of the brain. But we are less familiar with the work of his assistant, Dominique Blumenstihl-Roth. Yet in his books, he applies the decoding system identified by D Aubier to current situations. One of his latest books, Fatima, La Délivrance de l’Islam (2014, Ed. Peleman), offers a magnificent analysis of the tense relations between the Western, Muslim and Jewish worlds, based on the life and place of Fatima, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad and wife of Ali, in the rift between Shiites and Sunnis.

There are several things that struck me about this book.

First, the place of women in the Muslim religion. Based on a rereading of the Koran, of which the author has a great deal of knowledge, the current and reduced place of women in the Muslim world is explained. The despoiling of the inheritance, descendants and means of survival of Fatima, a woman, by Abu Bakr, a man, paves the way for the rejection of otherness in all its forms.

This is followed by a comparison of the Hebrew and Arabic alphabets. The names and key words appearing in the Koran are analyzed in the light of the Hebrew Kabbalah, which gives each letter a symbolic meaning, a veritable grid for reading situations beyond words. \”Going back to the founders of the lines descended from Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac, the author studies the ontology of their descendants to understand the place and role of each
in mutual respect. Still using the Hebrew Kabbalah as an investigative tool, the author also explores the founding texts of the Muslim religion to extract their meaning and discover the place of this religion in the evolution of Man, a place not yet assumed because still marked by the initial violence done to Fatima.

Finally, the conclusion reached by the author after this analysis: the necessary rapprochement and union between Jews and Muslims and the role of the Western world, and the United Nations, in this rapprochement. This rapprochement would be that of the “Who-could” and the “Who-did”, in other words, of the 2 parts of the brain. I quote: “This Israel-Islam dialogue is only possible between spiritual interlocutors”.

I therefore invite you to read this book, which is only touched upon in this article, as it offers concrete solutions based on exegesis, outlining a genuine path to Peace.
