After the Millennium Development Goals which were not very successful, the Sustainable Development Goals converge with the post 2015 development agenda.
Two papers have been written on this issue by IDEFIE (in French):

– What will happen after 2015 for sustainable development? on the role of the European Union in the SDGs implementation.
Let's hope that above the political speeches and the national interests, all these conferences and declared intentions really reduce poverty
